Here we are on our 3 week old birthday wrestling with each other.  We boys have so much fun together!

3 Weeks Old!!!

We are 3 weeks old today!  Happy birthday to us!  We get more playful and energetic as the days go by.  We love playing with each other: biting, wrestling, barking, and tumbling.  We still take LOTS of naps, though, and love nursing on mommy when she is near.  We have had lots of visitors and are enjoying meeting many new people, especially kids.  Here are our latest photos:

Vet Check

We went to the vet today for our 4th check up since we were born.  Our vet says we are all growing really well and are healthy, happy puppies!  Our tails have mostly healed up, as have our dew claws.  Dr. says we will soon be ready to start eating puppy gruel!  Yum, yum!

We Are Learning How to Play!

We have figured out that we can play with each other!  It's fun to have brothers to rough house with.  Just a minute or two of play tuckers us out, though, so then we have to take a nice long nap.  Also, now that our ears have opened up, we learned that we can growl!  What fun!  Now we growl a lot at each other, at mama, or for no reason at all.  We are becoming more and more like big dogs everyday!

2 Weeks Old!!!

My how time has flown by!  We are already 2 weeks old!  So much has happened in the last 2 weeks.  We all have our eyes open and are starting to learn to walk.  We are learning to bark and soon our ears will open so that we can hear how cool we sound!  Mama is still taking great care of us and we are getting bigger everyday.  We all weigh about 2 pounds.  Here are some adorable pictures we had taken this morning.  We were sleepy when the pics were taken, so we didn't show off our cute eyes.  Maybe next week.  :o)

Feeding Frenzy!

The daily nursing battle!  We sure get hungry and it takes a lot of work to get the best spot and the most milk.  Sometimes we really have to duke it out, but in the end, we are all still friends and we snuggle close together for a little nap when our tummies are full and happy.

Walking & Seeing

The world is becoming a much more interesting place for us boys!  During the past several days our eyes have opened up!  Wow!  So much to see and learn about!

We have also begun experimenting with using our legs for more than crawling.  All of us are starting to walk!  We are still wobbly and we fall over a lot, but walking sure is a quicker and more enjoyable way to get around.  Besides, if we are hungry, it is much easier to get to mama in a hurry!

1 Week Old!!!

Happy birthday, boys!  Today we are 1 week old!  We are growing more and more everyday.  We love to eat and sleep.  Some of us are starting to try to use our legs to walk instead of that crawling stuff, which is just for babies.  We are growing up!  We were sad this week when the vet docked our tails and removed our dew claws.  But. life is easier without those things getting in your way.  A couple of us have tried using our vocal chords to bark.  After all, that's what big dogs do and we want to be just like our mama. Speaking of mama, she sure does take good care of us: feeding and keeping us nice and clean. We love it best when she is nearby.  It has been a great first week of life!

Bottle Time!

A few of us have needed a little extra nourishment at times, so our Mama's Mommy sometimes feeds us with a bottle.  We love it!

Puppies have arrived!!!

They are here!  On Wednesday, September 4, 2013 our brave little mama Anya gave birth to 7 bouncing baby boys!  Yes, you read correctly...they are ALL BOYS!  6 black/rust and 1 surprise red/rust.  Two were born naturally and the others via c-section.  Some of those boys were just too big for our little mama to push out so she needed a little help.  But, everyone is home now and is doing great.  We will post weekly pictures and updates so you can follow the progress of these handsome boys.
