8 Weeks Old!!!

We are such big boys now! Our average weight is 14 lbs and we eat a lot! We are super happy, playful, energetic puppies. We love to explore the yard outside and roughhouse with each other. We sleep really well through the night, which makes everyone happy. We still have lots of visitors and especially love it when the neighborhood kids come to play. Our numbers are dwindling, as 2 of our brothers have already left for their forever homes. The 5 of us remaining still get to play together for a little while before our new owners come take us home. 3 of us had our ears cropped this week, which made us sad and interrupted our play time a lot. But, we've now gotten to the point that we don't care anymore, and we play, play, play, play, play!

Videos, age 7. 5 weeks old

Please enjoy these videos taken when the puppies were 7.5 weeks old. Blue Collar had already left for his new home, but everyone else was still here.  They kept tearing each other's collars off, so I gave up and took everyone's collars off for good.  Luckily, I know them all well enough now that I can tell them apart without them.  ;o)  They really get rambunctious when they play!

A New Home For Green Guy

Our sweet little Green Collar boy, now named Sgt. Pepper Jack Dancer, embarked on a new adventure today.  He is now making his way to his new home in Idaho.  We will really miss this spunky, fun-loving, adventurous little guy with the faux hawk on his nose.  But, his is going to an awesome home where he will be well-loved, trained, and cared for by his new owner. His new daddy has big plans for him and it will be exciting to see this little guy grow into a great dog!

A New Home for Big Blue

Our first little boy went home to his new family this afternoon!  Blue Collar guy now lives with a great family in Idaho who will give him lots of love and attention and socialization.  He's a lucky puppy and they are a lucky family!  We were sad to see this sweet little guy go, but knowing that he will be raised with such a great family makes it all okay.  The little boy who was born first in the litter is now the first to venture out into the real world.

Volhard Aptitude Test Results

Here are the results of the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test, performed this afternoon.  My computer is having issues with the uploading and editing of the videos.  I did post them to YouTube.  They do not, however, have the text embedded like I wanted which would have told which part of the test was being performed and what the score was on each aptitude.  But, you can look at the score cards and follow along.  The test goes in the order listed on the score card.  Feel free to look them over and compare the performance of each puppy.

7 Weeks Old!!!

We are 7 weeks old today! Today we had our puppy aptitude test and all of us did very well. We are going to make some great dogs for our new owners one of these days. Pretty soon we will find out which homes we get to go to! We are so excited. But, it will also be sad because it means we will be leaving to venture off into the world on our own soon too.

We continue to grow to be healthy and strong. We are happy, playful, energetic puppies. We have gotten to be very quick on the stairs and in the yard. We are making all sorts of new discoveries every day. The world is a very exciting place!  Here are our latest pictures!

7 Weeks Old, Video

It is our 7 week birthday today!  Here we are playing outside together this afternoon.  We have so much fun!

6 Weeks Old!!!

We are 6 weeks old today!  Yay!  We are growing up so much!  We are mostly weened from Mama, but still enjoy a few quick comfort feedings a couple times a day.  Mama is patient with our little sharp teeth, but is eager for us to be 100% on solid food.  We are growing very well: we weigh between 7.5 and 9.5 pounds.  We are getting really good at figuring out where to potty and where not to potty, which makes everyone happy!  We've learned how to go up and down stairs and are getting very speedy when we chase each other around the yard.  Wrestling and romping is our favorite activity, followed by eating and napping.  We are turning into doggies with confidence, enthusiasm, playfulness, and sweetness.  We are smart and can be a little mischievous at times.  ;o)  Mostly, though, we love our people and each other.  It will be fun to meet our new families in 2 weeks!  Here are our latest head shots.  ;o)

Kids, Kids, & MORE Kids!

The neighbor kids are making sure that we have lots of fun!  They expose us to all kinds of activities and adventures, as well as showering us with LOTS of LOVE!  We are so lucky!

The neighborhood kids are so great at helping me socialize and work with these cute little boy pups!  I have many helpers everyday--always eager and willing to play and encourage.  These puppies will be the most handled and well-socialized puppies around!  All this attention is SO good for them (and the kids don't seem to mind it one bit!)

5 Weeks Old!!!

We had our 5 week birthday!  Hooray for us!  We have been very busy this past week.  We play and eat more everyday.  We love our puppy kibble, but still like to nurse on mommy sometimes too.  We started potty-training and are doing pretty well.  We are continuing our daily socialization and temperament training.  We also continue to have lots and lots of visitors, which we LOVE!  We are learning how to climb stairs and other obstacles. We especially LOVE to play outside.  We are happy, playful, good-natured, sweet boys.  Everyone who comes to see us loves us and wants to take us home!

4 Weeks Old!!!

We are 4 weeks old today!  Happy birthday to us!  We have reached many milestones this week: learning to eat puppy food, learning to run, starting to recognize people and coming when they clap, playing with toys, enjoying the grass outside, starting early potty-training, and continuing to meet many new friends (big people and LOTS of little people...67 different people, to be exact!).  Our vet says we are healthy and growing great!  Most of us weigh a little more than 4 pounds now...we've quadrupled our birth-weight!  We are happy, playful, good-natured, sweet puppies.  In a month we will meet our forever families!
