Full Text: All along our plan has been for Rey to have her 3rd and final litter late Spring 2021, but plans change. We took Rey to a wellness check and our reproductive vet found she has developed a benign granuloma in one of her back mammaries. This happened after her first litter. She had a mastectomy back then. Now that it has happened twice our vet has recommended Rey have another mastectomy and get spayed. Although the lump again is benign, he doesn't feel it is wise to allow pregnancy hormones (which cause everything to grow) to course through her body again. He doesn't want to risk the possibility that something malignant could grow in the process. So, it is with great sadness that we share the news that Rey will no longer have any more puppies. Her health is far more important to us than anything else! She will be spayed next week and then will continue to live out her days as our best friend and companion. We are grateful for the two litters of INCREDIBLE puppies Rey gave us! She is the best momma on the planet and it has been such a joy watching her do what she does best. But now, she can just focus on giving kisses and love, which is also what she does best!
